Tombstone epiphany

Family at tombstone
Company logo on Tombstone?

Ever seen a company logo on a tombstone? 🪦

No?

Me neither.

So, why oh why, do we often prioritise the well-being of a company over our own?

What else do you see on a tombstone?

🪦 Your name.

🪦 Your family name.

🪦 And sometimes those family left behind.

❌ Not your boss.

❌ Not "Met KPI's".

❌ Not your title.

❌ Not how many hours extra you worked there.

❌❌ And certainly not a thanks from that said company.

Now, I am not saying don't work hard and hit goals for your company. By all means do that and do it well....

....just not at the expense of your well-being, your time with your kids, your time with your family, and certainly not at the expense of your well-being and mental health.

Gets you thinking now doesn't it? 🤔

Hoping you can close the laptop at 4:59pm and go home and kick that ball with your kids...or walk the dog....or have that bubble bath for yourself with a cheeky glass of wine listening to Metallica(!).

This insightful post was brought to you by the letter Y for....well, YOU!

As always, if you need to talk, chat, cry, vent, decompress, or whatever, know that I am only a phone call away, or so many other organisations like below who are willing and able to support you.
