Introduction • Welcome and introduction to the purpose of the lesson. • Group exercise to spot subtle changes in someone • The Nick 2.0 and Lifeline story • Mental Health continuum • Brief overview of psychosocial hazards and their impact on health and safety in the workplace. Understanding Psychosocial Hazards • Review the key definitions and concepts outlined in the 'Managing the risk of psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice 2022.' • Discuss common psychosocial hazards (e.g., work-related stress, bullying, harassment) and their potential impact on employees. • Use case studies/examples to illustrate real-world scenarios. Identifying Psychosocial Hazards • Provide tools and methods for participants to identify psychosocial hazards in their workplace. • Engage participants in interactive activities, such as group discussions or role-playing scenarios, to enhance understanding. Q&A and Discussion • Open the floor for questions and discussions. • Address any specific concerns or challenges raised by participants. Conclusion and Action Plan • Summarize key takeaways from the lesson. • Provide participants with an action plan for implementing strategies to manage psychosocial hazards in their workplaces. Assessment: Participants will be assessed based on their participation in discussions, completion of interactive activities, and their ability to apply the concepts learned to their own workplace context.
